Celebrating the Joy of Reading.


 Reading is an essential skill that plays a crucial role in shaping our lives. It not only helps us gain knowledge but also enhances our creativity and imagination. To promote the joy of reading among students, GVHSS Koyilandy conducted a special programme on Reading Day.

The day began with a letter-writing activity where students expressed their gratitude to their teachers for promoting reading and instilling a love for books in them.  The programme started by giving  the first letter to the principal. This activity helped students understand the importance of teachers in their lives and how they can impact their future.


The programme also included a book donation drive, where students donated their old books to school library. This initiative not only promoted the importance of reading but also taught students the value of giving books to society.

A resource person Karunan Master introduced famous books to the students, which helped them understand the significance of reading and how it can impact their lives positively.

Overall, the Reading Day programme conducted in GVHSS Koyilandy was a huge success. It not only encouraged students to read more but also instilled in them the importance of reading in their lives. Let us continue to celebrate Reading Day every year and promote the joy of reading among our communities.

പ്ലസ് ടൂ കാർക്കൊപ്പം പഠന യാത്ര പോവുകയെന്നത് ഒരു വേറിട്ട അനുഭവമാണ്. യാത്ര പ്ലാൻ ചെയ്യുമ്പോഴെ അവരെ ചോദ്യം ഇതായിരിക്കും സാർ ബസ്സ് അടിപൊളിയാണോ? ഡി.ജെ ഒക്കെ ഉണ്ടല്ലെ അല്ലെ ? ഇതിനപ്പുറമൊന്നും അവർ നമ്മോട് ചോദിക്കില്ല... അവരെ ഭാഷയിൽ യാത്ര വൈബ് ആക്കുന്നത് ഇതൊക്കെയാണ്.   ബസ്സിൽ കയറിയാൽ തുടങ്ങുന്ന അത്യുച്ചത്തിൽ വെക്കുന്ന 'കൂടെ തുള്ള്' പാട്ടുകൾ ... അവരോടൊപ്പം തുള്ളാൻ അവർ നമ്മെ നിരന്തരം പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ടേയിരിക്കും ... നമ്മൾ തുള്ളിയാൽ പോയി .... വെറുതെ തുള്ളുന്നത് പോലെ ആക്കി പുറത്തേ ഓടി മറയുന്ന കാഴ്ചകളെ പറ്റി അവരെ നിരന്തരം ഓർമ്മിപ്പിക്കുക. പച്ചപ്പും കാടും കോട മഞ്ഞും മലനിരകളും ഓടി മറയുമ്പോഴും അവർ ഉച്ചത്തിൽ ലുങ്കി ഡാൻസ് വെച്ച് കൊണ്ടേയിരിക്കും... പക്ഷേ ഈ വർഷത്തേ പഠന യാത്രയിൽ ഒരാൾ മാത്രം കണ്ണിമ വെട്ടാതെ ബസ്സിന്റെ ജാലകത്തിലൂടെ നോക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ആശ്വാസമായി ... ഞങ്ങൾ മണ്ണിനെ കുറിച്ചും പച്ചപ്പിനേ കുറിച്ചും ഏറെ നേരം സംസാരിച്ചു. നന്നായി പാടാൻ കഴിവുള്ള അവനെ നിർബന്ധിച്ചപ്പോൾ നല്ല പാട്ടുകൾ പാടി... മനസ്സിൽ ഒരു കുളിർ മഴ പെയ്തത് പോലെ ... കാഴ്ചകളിലേ വേറിട്ട കാഴ്ചകൾ ഒപ്പിയെടുക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന യ...

KODAI STORIES

 The Plus 2 students of our school recently went on a tour to Kodaikanal, a beautiful hill station in Tamil Nadu. The trip was not just about sightseeing and enjoying the scenic beauty but also about learning new things and experiencing new adventures. One of the most exciting experiences for the students was trucking. They got a chance to drive a truck on the hilly roads of Kodaikanal. It was a thrilling experience for them as they had never driven a truck before. The students were taught how to drive a truck by experienced drivers and were given a chance to drive it themselves. They learned about the different gears, brakes, and other controls of the truck. Apart from trucking, the students also went on nature walks, visited the famous Kodaikanal Lake, and went on a trek to Dolphin's Nose, which is a popular viewpoint in Kodaikanal.
